Let There Be Peace In The World

"My song is written in Kiswahili, our National language. The song talks about different aspects of the theme of peace.

In the past, Africa has experienced a lot of political upheavals, which have brought about genocide, famine and dictatorship. My song addresses these issues and calls for an end to them all.

It also talks about a vision to end all this suffering through democratic channels. Other issues it focuses on are land mines and their abolition. Further on, it demands constitutional revision and awareness.

The song, which I composed, arranged, and produced on my own, blends a pop beat with an African touch. It has 4 stanzas and a chorus. For its instrumentation I used vocals, guitar, keyboards, saxophone and drums."

Epha Maina is aged 30. The professional musician heads a band called Orchestre Ndumo, which plays all kinds of music ranging from pop, rock, and jazz, to traditional folklore etc.

One of his songs has won a trophy for being the best in the cultural category. Altogether, he has produced nine albums.

As a director in the Kenyan music copyright body, he has committed himself greatly to help improve the situation of Kenyan musicians with regard to copyright issues in their country.

Lass(t) Frieden in der Welt sein

"Mein Lied ist in Kisuaheli geschrieben, unserer nationalen Sprache. Das Lied behandelt verschiedene Aspekte des Themas Frieden. br>
In der Vergangenheit hat Afrika einige gewaltsame politische Umbrüche erfahren. Diese haben Völkermord, Hungersnot und Diktatur mit sich gebracht. Mein Lied spricht diese Fragen an und ruft zur Beendigung dieser Probleme auf. Es spricht auch über eine Vision vom Ende dieser Leiden auf demokratischem Weg.

Andere Fragen, die im Brennpunkt stehen, sind Landminen und ihre Beseitigung. Weiterhin fordert es Kontrolle der Verfassung und politisches Bewusstsein.

Das Lied, das ich komponiert, arrangiert und selbst produziert habe, ist eine Mischung aus Popmusik mit afrikanischem Touch. Es hat 4 Strophen und einen Refrain. Als Instrumente habe ich Gesang, Gitarre, Keyboard, Saxophon und Percussion benutzt."

Epha Maina ist 30 Jahre alt. Der professionelle Musiker ist der Kopf einer Band mit dem Namen "Orchestre Ndumo", das alle Arten von Musik von Pop und Rock über Jazz bis hin zu traditioneller Folklore spielt.
