searching peace

I became inspired to write this song by the news about violence in the world and especially in Columbia. There is no doubt that war has consequences such as...

1. the destruction of the environment, of flora and fauna, of our natural habitats, water and air- pollution, famine...

2.the extinction of the human race. It is because of racial and social reasons and because of the wish to dominate others that man turns against its own kind with hatred and destruction.

Another starting point for my song was the indifference of those who think material wealth is all that matters. They are incapable of feeling sympathy and pity for those who suffer pain and anguish.

Luis A. Biojo was born in Tumaco, Narno, Colombia on 28th October 1952. He lives in Cali, Valle, Colombia. He is married with Maria Cristina Bejarano and is the father of the children Nilson and Pamela.

His musical career started at the age of 7, when his father, who also was a musician, orchestra leader and lecturer, motivated him to make music. for a period of 10 years, Luis worked as a professional musician, composer, and private teacher. He plays the following instruments: guitar, kuban tres, bass, congas, bongos, and small percussion. As a composer he is a member of SAYCO (Chile).

He is the leader and bass guitarist of the orchestra B&B band and of the folkloristic group El Quinto chango. He is the musical director of the foundation Oscar Scarpetta, which commits itself to the protection of youths in Colombia. He wrote a book titled "The black man in the Columbian history".

He was trained at the Technical Industrial Institute Antonio José Camacho (draftsman) and took the diploma for history at Del Valle University and the degree of an M.A. at the Catholic University of Manizalez. He has been a lecturer at the Technical Industrial School of Desepaz for 23 years.

1. die Zerstörung der Umwelt - Pflanzen-, Tierwelt und natürlicher Lebensraum), Meeres- und Luftverschmutzung, Knappheit an Nahrungsmitteln, usw...

2. die Zerstörung der menschlichen Rasse. Aus rassistischem und sozialem Hass heraus und aus Gründen der Unterwerfung anderer Rassen zerstört der Mensch Seinesgleichen.

Auch wurde ich durch die Gleichgültigkeit deren angeregt, , die glauben, dass materieller Besitz alles bedeutet, und nicht fähig sind,Mitleid zu fühlen mit denjenigen, die Lebensangst und Schmerz ertragen müssen."

Luis A Biojo wurde am 28.10.52. in Tumaco, Narño, Kolumbien, geboren. Er ist wohnhaft in Cali, Valle, Kolumbien. Als Komponist ist er Mitglied des SAYCO (Kolumbianische Gesellschaft für die Rechte der Urheber Musikalischer Werke). Er ist verheiratet mit María Cristina Bejarano und Vater zweier Kinder, Nilson und Pamela.

Er fungiert als Leiter und Bassist des Orchesters B&B Band sowie der folklorischen Gruppe El Quinto Chango und ist Musikalischer Direktor der Stiftung Oscar Scarpetta zum Schutz Minderjähriger. Er ist Autor des Buches "Der Schwarze in der kolumbianischen Geschichte". Seine musikalische Laufbahn begann mit 7 Jahren, als ihn sein Vater, der selbst Musiker, Orchesterleiter und Dozent war, zum Musizieren motivierte. Luis A. Biojo wirkte 10 Jahre als Berufsmusiker, Komponist und Privatlehrer. Als Instrumente beherrscht er Gitarre, kubanischen Tres, Bass, Congas, Bongo und kleine Perkussion.

Er absolvierte eine Ausbildung als technischer, industrieller Zeichner am Instituto Técnico Isdustrial Antonio José Camacho und erwarb das Diplom für Geschichte an der Universität Del Valle sowie den Titel eines Magisters (Bildungswesen) an der Katholischen Universität in Manizalez. Er arbeitet seit 23 Jahren als Dozent in der Technisch-Industriellen Schule Desepaz.
